The Nederland Farmers Market started through the Sustainability Advisory Board in 2016.
Our goal is to work in conjunction with the Nederland Food Pantry and Community Gardens, LiveWell Colorado, and SNAP to provide healthy, local food to Nederland, Colorado and surrounding mountain communities.
Our monthly markets are currently held the second and fourth Sunday of each month, beginning in May. The final Harvest Market occurs the first Sunday of October. We also provide 25 weeks of pre-ordered boxes, where you pre-order from our online shop between May and December.
It's our philosophy to encourage, support, and promote the entrepreneurial efforts of local farmers, growers, cottage food producers, & artisans, who are seeking to sell their produce/products directly to the customer.
We envision a place for people to meet, eat, share stories, recipes & knowledge in a place dedicated to the cultivation of local food, products & talents.
Going on our sixth season in 2021, we are continuing to build momentum, grow the market bigger, and contribute to a thriving local economy.
Our mission is to build a market to be a profitable outlet for local business and agriculture, a valuable source of fresh and healthy foods for consumers, a valuable resource for community information and building social capital, and a profitable venue to support sustainable business.
